One church. Three visual directions.

We preserve our familiar church mark while giving its history a contemporary visual language. Explore three distinct directions, their reasoning and examples in use.

The identity grows from the place where the community worships and the faith it lives by. Three complete directions share the same roots. Compare them on the working website.

Preserve the drawing.
Restore its wholeness.

Columns, stepped frames and botanical painting form the prayer hall’s own visual language. The supplied photographs guide a reconstruction, from a single capital to a complete section of wall.

Reconstructed wall section: three arched windows, painted columns and stepped ornamental panels
A visual reconstruction from photographs, made with a generative tool. Perspective and obstructions have been removed. This is not documentary photography of a physical restoration.

The same columns.

A slender shaft with a light inset, narrow horizontal bands and a botanical capital. The upper motif is redrawn from your close-up; portions beyond the crop are regularised for a complete application.

From paint to stencil.

The hatched oval medallion, three pairs of leaves, elongated diamonds and scrolls are retained. A restored stencil from the photograph is converted into scalable vector contours.

The chandelier
we recognise.

A detailed three-dimensional reconstruction from the two high-resolution photographs: tiered silhouette, copper-brass rings, curved arms, candle-shaped lamps, stones on the bands and a lower basket of crystal strands.

Drag to turn. “Change angle” reveals upper and lower details. Rotation starts only when you choose.

A photo-based reconstruction, not a measured model. Absolute dimensions, hidden joints and repetitions on the reverse are approximate and need on-site verification for an exact replica.

Living Heritage

Familiar details. Contemporary clarity.

Stepped frames and the wall ornament create a recognisable system for pages, covers and invitations. Warm stone softens the blue. The seal belongs with historical material rather than on every button.

Ornament needs space: one expressive motif per application, with a quiet field behind the text.

Quiet Radiance

Applied to the main version

Light that makes a space feel warm.

Deep blue opens into pale reflections, like light passing through a chandelier pendant. Fine grain adds material depth. Geometry stays precise and text remains legible. This is the selected direction for the main website.

Our own visual language
is already here.

We translate details from the church itself into simple visual rules. They are sources of form, with no invented theological symbolism.

The ornament. Closer to its source.

The abstract figure is replaced by an oval medallion with diagonal hatching, six lobed leaves, double diamonds, long tendrils and dots. A generative tool restores a stencil from the photograph, then its contours are converted to vector. The original remains available for comparison.

The vine supports the identity; the church mark leads.

The new grape motif is part of a long branch with irregular berries and leaves. It serves as a border in posts, footers and sections. The existing church logo remains beside the church name.

The same mark.
A better alignment.

The original building drawing stays unchanged. An arched window with a fine double outline connects the mark to the prayer hall’s architecture. A square and a stepped frame remain options for other applications. The name stays live text.

One character.
Two alphabets.

Salyha is the project’s Cyrillic extension of the supplied Perandory. Tall proportions, stroke contrast and serif character carry across the alphabets. The Ukrainian alphabet includes Ґ, Є, І, Ї and the apostrophe. These are real font files for the website and design applications, not pictures of lettering.

Perandory is a unicase display family: lowercase and uppercase share a common height. Cyrillic follows that principle. Manrope handles body text, navigation and forms. The Salyha name identifies a project extension, not an official release by Perandory’s designer.

A symbol of faith.

Ichthys is a supporting identity element. Explore its three-dimensional form and read about its meaning here.

What does Ichthys mean?

The fish is an early Christian symbol. The Greek word for fish is ἰχθύς. Its letters form an acronym expressing a central Christian confession:

Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour.

Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, Θεοῦ Υἱός, Σωτήρ

This is a shared Christian symbol. Here it points to Christ; the church’s building mark remains its logo.

Scripture gives direction.

Philippians 1:27

The community confirmed the seal’s Scripture reference. Here are verified excerpts from two translations. The small historical lettering is not presented as a precise transcription.

The updated seal is a contemporary graphic interpretation previously created with a generative tool. It preserves the composition with a modern Ukrainian inscription and is not a legal seal.

Elegant.
And easy to understand.

We speak warmly and directly, explain the next step and never expect a visitor to know church vocabulary in advance.

“Sunday school takes place for children every Sunday during worship.”
“Need help getting here? Write to us beforehand.”
